Tropical Drinks Recipes
Here are some hot tropical and Hawaiian drinks recipes for
you to enjoy.
Don't forget to order your drink accessories such as umbrella
picks, long palm
tree picks - to hold the fruit together. Colourfull Palm Tree,

Traditional Hawaiian Rum Punch
Approximate yield is about one gallon. With the addition of ice, it will serve twenty
people.
Ingredients:
4 cups orange juice
4 cups guava juice
4 cups pineapple juice
1/2 cup grenadine, red
1 cup ginger ale
3 cups light rum
1/2 cup dark rum
Directions:
Pour chilled juices into a large bowl, add grenadine, ginger ale and
the light rum.
Add cubed ice and stir to mix.
Float dark rum over the punch. Do not stir into the punch
Sangría Blanca
(Some purists feel that you need a white wine in your Sangría if you are dining on
seafood.)
Ingredients:
1 quart White Wine
1/2 pint Spanish brandy
one apple, cored and diced
one orange, seeded and sliced
2 tablespoonfuls lemon juice
Seven-Up, Sprite, or substitute drink
Ice
Stir all ingredients together in a large jar. Serve very cold.
A Day at the Beach
Ingredients:
1 oz Coconut Rum (Malibu)
1/2 oz Amaretto
4 oz Unsweetened Orange Juice
1/2 oz Grenadine
Shake rum, amaretto, and orange juice with ice. Pour into a highball glass over ice. Top
with grenadine. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a strawberry
Rum Punch
Ingredients:
2 1/2 Cups Unsweetened Pineapple Juice
2 1/2 Cups Unsweetened Orange Juice
1 Cup 151 White Rum
1/2 Cup Dark Rum
1/4 Cup Coconut Rum (Malibu)
1/4 Cup Fresh Lime Juice
3 tbsp Grenadine
Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher , shake and serve over ice in tall glasses. Add
straws for slow sipping
Strawberry Daiquiri
Ingredients:
2 oz White Rum
1/2 oz Cointreau
6 Ripe Strawberries
1 oz Lime Juice
1/2 tsp superfine sugar
Blend all ingredients together until strawberries are ground. Add two cups of ice and
blend until smooth. Pour into a collins glass. Serve with a straw.
Beachcomber
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Light Rum
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1/2 oz Grenadine
1 oz Sour Mix
Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass with sugared rim. Garnish with a lime rim
Blue Hawaiian
Ingredients:
1 oz White Rum
1/2 oz Blue Curacao
1 oz Pineapple Juice
1 oz Cream of Coconut
1 tsp Sugar
Mix all ingredients in a shaker half filled with ice cubes. Strain into an old fashioned
glass half filled with crushed ice. Decorate with a paper umbrella
Caribbean Romance
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Light Rum
1 oz Amaretto
1 1/2 oz Orange Juice
1 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice
1 splash Grenadine
Shake well with ice and pour into highball glass. Float grenadine on top and garnish with
an orange, lemon, or lime slice.
FLORIDA TROPICAL STORM
Ingredients:
12 Oz. of V8 Strawberry-Kiwi fruit drink
1 Oz. Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
1 Oz. Bacardi Limon
1 Oz Dekuypur Peach Schnapps
Place in a blender with a fist full of ice and blend until thick
(frozen)
Made 2 for 1 since one will never be enough! (Per Chili's Bartender!)
Serve in 2 frozen mugs. (PINK frosted mugs always adds a nice tropical touch)
Sprinkle a dash of Grenadine over the top for color
Garnish with a large strawberry and a slice of Kiwi fruit (peeled)
Wiki Waki
Ingredients:
1/2 oz Vodka
1 oz White Rum
1/2 oz Tequila
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 oz Amaretto
1 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Pineapple Juice
1 oz Cranberry Juice
Mix all ingredients with ice and serve in a tall glass with a long straw. Decorate with a
slice of pineapple and a cherry
Piña Colada
Piña Colada is now known around the world as a symbol of the Tropics. The name evokes
thoughts of palm trees, sandy beaches, hula dances, lelolais, and all sorts of exotic,
romantic happenings
Ingredients
8 fluid ounces Pineapple juice (preferably, of course, pineapple
chunks from a fresh pineapple)
8 fluid ounces Coconut cream (available canned under several brand names. The best known
is Coco Lopez, Real Cream of Coconut.
6 ounces Rum
3 to 4 cups of Ice
Cherries
Slices of pineapple, orange or lime
Paper umbrellas (?)
In a blender, grind ice while gradually adding the pineapple, coconut cream and rum.
Alternatively, use shaved ice. The ice should be thick enough to hold a cherry on top
without sinking in. Serve in a tall glass with a straw. Garnish with one cherry and a
slice of fruit. Insert a paper umbrella for that additional tropical, exotic touch.
Lava Flow
Lava Flow is quickly becoming the favorite Hawaiian drink.
Ingredients:
1 oz Light rum
1 oz Malibu rum
2 oz Strawberries
1 Banana, ripe but not overripe
2 oz Pineapple juice unsweetened
2 oz Coconut cream
Preparation: Blend strawberries and the two rums in a blender into a smooth paste. Pour
the paste into a hurricane glass. Rinse the blender. Blend banana, coconut cream, and
pineapple juice in blender until smooth. Pour this mixture into the glass with the rums
SLOWLY. The strawberry/rum mix should creep up the sides of the glass to make a wonderful
looking (and tasting) summertime cocktail!
